A WELL LOVED AND
TREASURED HOME
Welcome to Beattie Home
Welcome to an introduction to Beattie Home, our Community Trust owned Rest home, situated in the North King Country town of Otorohanga.
Our 35 bed rest home offers a wonderfully caring environment for our elderly residents. Aside from the rest home there is a new dementia home, catering for 20 permanent residents and 2 dedicated respite rooms.
The strength of our Home is its staff, we have 48, with a full range of fully qualified nurses and carers, who are dedicated to our residents. Alongside them is a wonderful group of volunteers, who assist in many recreational activities, from handcrafts to bingo.
Many local groups visit Beattie to entertain the residents with songs and performances, and a willing group of drivers take residents on trips in the Beattie Home’s van, or residents to appointment in the Beattie Home car.
The importance of providing a well-cared for, well-loved environment is a point of pride to us. When our residents go for their strolls around the grounds, the plants and flowers they view are typical of those in the gardens they tended in their younger days. The “Friends of Beattie” are an amazing group of women volunteers who care for the grounds and gardens, with the able assistance of our multi-talented maintenance staff.
“A place where a loved one is well looked after in a well loved and treasured home” that is “Our Beattie”
